What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance production applications built on PHP 5.6 within a fully governed environment
- Own MySQL 5.7 database health — performance tuning, indexing, integrity controls
- Configure and support Apache web server deployments in line with IT governance frameworks
- Build and maintain secure SOAP and REST API integrations with government and federal platforms
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive action implementation
- Support compliance reviews, security audits, and change management processes
- Maintain detailed technical documentation — configurations, integration specs, and change logs
- Contribute to modernisation initiatives with zero disruption to live services
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of PHP development experience, with strong hands-on exposure to legacy PHP 5.x environments
- Solid MySQL 5.7 skills — schema design, query optimisation, data governance
- Proven experience with Apache in enterprise-grade setups
- Real-world SOAP and REST API integration experience, ideally in regulated or government sectors
- Strong grasp of secure coding practices and web application security standards
- Comfortable working within structured change management and release processes
- Proficient with Git or equivalent version control
Bonus Points
- Prior experience in UAE government, semi-government, or regulated environments
- Familiarity with UAE digital government standards and integration frameworks
- Knowledge of modern PHP (Laravel, Symfony) for gradual modernisation
- Frontend literacy — HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Language Requirement: Arabic fluency is required for this role.
